Born in Puerto Rico and now a proud Nova Scotian, Chef Clavel’s basic belief which motivates him when creating food is harmony. Chef Clavel brings a true respect for ingredients and has a reputation for highlighting them through both traditional and modern cooking techniques. He takes Nova Scotia local cuisine to the next level with his creative, contemporary, progressive approach. Chef Clavel is committed to encouraging the next generation through mentoring and coaching, as the newest core member of Culinary Team Canada chef Clavel will be able to continue showcase his food style nationally and internationally.
